Christmas stock storage

Many of our business customers are running online shops. Our storage units offer them the opportunity to run their operation with a mini-warehousing component. This is a very low cost way to expand your business, with all utilities, facilities and business rates covered in your hire.

Christmas stock can be very profitable if you can take advantage of bulk buy discounts and then sell at the right time of year. We have business customers who bulk buy discounted Christmas items in January and February, hold them in a section of their unit and then sell them individually in November and December, before repeating the schedule the following year.

The worry with bulk buying seasonal stock is always that you’ll be stuck with a huge amount of stuff to hold onto for months and that it will affect profitability and also the management of your operation…

But of course, if you have taken a good amount of space, with the advantage of our long-term hire discounts (compared to the standard monthly rate, annual hire gives you more than ten weeks’ free storage, every single year, on every single unit size) you can allot a section of your unit to festive stock. It’s not in the way; it’s all factored in and organised.

Of course, the principles of this apply all year round, not just for Christmas. We offer mini warehousing with no business rates to pay on top. This means that you can organise your stock storage so that you can hold your bulk buy purchases and sell them at full price. We are also flexible, so if you suddenly need more space for two or three months, while you reorganise, you can easily take an additional unit to ease space.
