Part Time Security Officer Role Available

Post: Part Time Security Officer (two posts available)

Role: Security officer, working alongside guard dog

Hours: One evening per week. Fortnightly rota.

Evenings available are:

Week A

Friday 6.15pm to midnight*

Sunday 3.45pm to midnight

*Please note that the Friday shift starts at 7.15pm April-September

Week B

Tuesday 6.15pm to midnight

Saturday 4.45pm to midnight

Additionally, a share of up to 28 overnight shifts per year, as offered.

Salary: £9.79 per hour

Our business

Greenfords Ltd is a longstanding business with a real focus on customer service. We are based at our offices in Eversley, Hampshire. The company has two principle activities:

The main duties are

  1. To work for the Storage Manager on site, carrying out security duties at the premises
  2. To conduct regular patrols in line with the training and documentation provided
  3. To contribute to the dog training program in line with company policy and care for the company dog while you are on duty
  4. To learn how to operate various locking and alarm systems and follow a lock down and open up routine accurately
  5. To take on-site responsibility seriously, remaining vigilant and responsive when not out on patrol
  6. To be able to react in an emergency and notify emergency services and others
  7. To carry out such other duties as will reasonably assist and promote the interests of the business
  8. To attend monthly Security Team Meetings and work well with colleagues

We are looking for a someone who is

  3. Comfortable working with a large dog and who will enjoy forming a bond with him
  4. Physically fit to a reasonable standard
  5. Able to inspire confidence and trust in customers and staff
  6. A reliable and friendly member of the security team, able to work well with colleagues
  7. Able to communicate with the general public
  8. Able to apply a common sense understanding of health and safety issues
  9. Committed to preserving and upholding the principle of confidentiality at all times
  10. Focused on the best interests of the company at all times
